At the invitation of the Quebec Potato Producers (‘PPTQ’), Françoise Forcier of SOLINOV presented the results of a study, conducted with Groupe AGÉCO, on the state of potato waste in Quebec and their current valorization methods. The study identified the main challenges to the recovery and reclamation of potato residues. Furthermore, in line with the 3Rs and based on SOLINOV’s analysis, Ms. Forcier presented the most promising valorization methods available to producers.
